This private residence in Cavan was influenced by the original principles of wabi sabi which translated in to a Western design aesthetic made use of mid range to dark natural colours to compliment the period furniture creating a traditional environment with contemporary art.
The two installation shots here show a drawing by Ian Charlesworth using a lighter to produce the marks with smoke and then varnished on gesso and board, the second image is a piece by Tom O'Dea in found wood and jesmonite installed in an alcove area.
