The International Academy of Ceramics held their annual 2014 Assembly in Dublin Castle and as a consequence certain Members donated their works to the State. In 2019 Rathfarnham Castle completed the restoration of the ground floor area that was once the Kitchens and Wine Cellar. Having already worked with elements of the Collection in a Farmleigh Gallery and nagGallery exhibition in 2018 Mark St.John Ellis suggested a semi permenant installation in the new space of selected works. This was designed by nagDesign with artwork by Liam Furlong.
