Shibui 4 continues the series of exhibitions dedicated to the combination of functional art forms with the non functional aesthetic. The title ' Shibui ' directs the audience to view and appreciate the nag Gallery process of learning from the Japanese philosophy concerning beauty. As discussed in previous texts of this series shibui or shibusa is not just a demonstration of a modest aesthetic but also as a philosophy of reduction. As the gallery has evolved the Shibui exhibitions have become similar to an artists studio where ideas are worked upon in presentation and installation. The gallery nag and in its design projects has strived to pursue the simple and quiet form as much as the process driven disciplines of the artists it exhibits.
